How Productive Are You? Let's Improve On That! | I must admit that my productivity has taken a big hit due to the endless rain we've been having. Too wet to work outside (my garden is suffering greatly) and too humid and dreary to work inside. I do have my moments though. Pulled an all-nighter this week (probably not the best way to get work done) but while I was playing with my phone -- getting caught up in changing the look with icons and themes -- the seed of an article or two was planted in my overtired brain. You'll see more on that next week. Until then, I'll devote the last newsletter of May to the subject of productivity in both your personal and business life.
5 Things That Absolutely Kill Your Productivity | Gulp. I'm guilty of all five at one time or another. How about you? Consulting/Freelance Expert Jay Niblick must have been looking through a crystal ball into my life when he wrote parts of this article. He offers solutions to the problems most of us face when it comes to procrastination, clutter, and other distractions.
Use Your iPad to Be More Productive | I don't use my iPad as much these days as I once did. I'll have to look for equivalent options for my ever present smartphone. If you're an iPad user, iPad Expert Daniel Nations has a recently updated selection of free productivity apps to keep you on track.
You Can Quote Bill On That | Not only is there an app for your productivity, there's a quote for that too. Here are a selection of words of wisdom from Bill Gates. Here's one that's appropriate to desktop publishing: "I think it's fair to say that personal computers have become the most empowering tool we've ever created. They're tools of communication, they're tools of creativity, and they can be shaped by their user."
